[Day 2 - EA] Make a Jedi Out of You [Closed]

Malus gave a lengthy pause and said, “I don’t feel anything.”

“I just want to see my Master one last time, let him know that I… I am at peace. It is the only thing keeping me from being one with the Force. I think. I just wish I knew if he were alive… where he was… that he knows that I am sorry, and thankful for everything.”

OOC: She feels the warmth of Peace coming from him, use of Triumph.

The feeling of peace washed over her. Was that the purpose of this vision, to lay ghosts to rest? Was that what the force wanted from her?

"I... I have not had a vision quite like this before. Perhaps I am here to help release you old friend? Malus, go, let your desire wash away and be one with the force. Know that he is alive. I will tell him what you have said. It may finally bring him some comfort." Her thoughts turned inward. The Clone Wars. Malus and Oraka. Eleeza and Aerly. Oraka was never quite the same after you died. Now though? Now he seems to have found his strength once again.

The smile grew cold as his form became obscured by darkness and then there was the mask of the Inquisitor and he spoke in that mechanical voice, “Tell Oraka, I will be seeing him soon… and little Veras.”

“Thank you.”

Then she is staring at her reflection in the waters.

Her heart felt like it was going to explode out of her chest and despite that she was suddenly chilled to the bone. She just stared at her reflection for a time. "No. It can't be true. It's impossible." She shook her head and sat down somewhat dejectedly at the edge of the pool, rubbing at her face.

[Petrus Karath]

Yoda looked down and sighed heavily before saying, “Failed I have in preparing you for what is to come, padawan. Trust in Oraka, in your friends, most importantly padawan trust in the Force.”

“Guide you the Code will, but walk the path you must. Be brave, even when you know Fear padawan, be brave.”

“Now wake up, and return to your training, a great Jedi you will not be if napping all you day you do.”

Yoda continued walking, the halls of the Temple giving way to swampy brambles and then his vision returned to the clear waters of the pool.

Slowly, Petrus bowed. "I will, Master. I will trust in all of them. Thank you."

As he watched Yoda walk away, Petrus thought of how he came down the hill. He couldn't see, he'd failed there, but the Force guided his steps all the same. He didn't need to know what came next, because the Force would guide him.

His eyes opened... Petrus smiled.

"Xanna?" Petrus asked, a concerned frown on his face. "Are you alright?"

Sloan walked to one of the unmoving bodies, and checked for a pulse.

What...what happened here? Where's Sister Hulia?!

His voice filtered out from a darkened shadow as he stepped forward and said, “She is dead… they are all dead. The people are dead. Our ways are dead.”

He knelt down and closed the eyes of a young woman and said, “This is our end.”

[Brother Sloan]

Sloan sat frantic, next to one of the bodies, shaking it violently in hopes of waking it. Tear strewn face; he futilely attempted to resuscitate the Aznuri laying before him.

His gaze was averted to his own figure before him.

"You." Sloan stated as he stood to his feet.

"You did this!" He roared, a furious accusation.

[Dapper Dog]

“Our people return to the Calm,” he said.

“This is our fate, this is what the outsiders… these laowai will bring to us,” he crouched down and rested a large hand on a still woman in comfort.

“This is as it should be… but we could be stronger, strong like the Empire. All your life they have told you the Dark was evil, but they are wrong… the Dark could save our people, keep them from dying… save our dear, dear Sister Hulia.”

[Brother Sloan]

"It was the outsiders the cleansed the Calm; Jedi. These laowai I'm with, they seek nothing but the best." He walked slowly towards the figure.

"Isolation is death. We cannot remain an island in a sea of destruction...and how do you suppose the dark can save us? The dark ones are here and they wish us nothing but obliteration. Tell me what threatens Sister Hulia. Tell me the truth."

[Dapper Dog]

He crossed his arms and said, “The Dark Side is the only way you will save her… it is the ultimate power. It is why she will live, if you choose the path of weakness she will die… everyone will die.”

He held out his hand, “Join me, become what you were meant to be and have the Strength to save those you hold dear or walk away and become a useless relic like these Jedi.”

Beyond himself he sees Hulia dark and savage and behind he feels calm and peace and hears the rushing of water.

“She could be yours, you could be first among the tribes… or you can be nothing,” he said.

"Prove it." Sloan uttered a challenge. The allure of the rushing water was certainly tempting, but he felt in his heart that confronting this...thing was what he needed to do.


He walked still closer to his reflection. "You are nothing."

Sloan came to a stop. Face to face with the thing that had been warning him...no..mocking him.

"Stand aside phantom. I must speak with my true master." He knew Hulia was waiting for him behind his own chiding visage.

Then he is back at the pool.

Sloan untied the blindfold and opened his eyes...for real this time. He peered over at Medium Sized Man comforting a sitting Xanna.

He strode over and dispiritedly took a seat beside her. His dejected posture certainly did not exude confidence.

Sloan was silent.

"Xanna?" Petrus asked, a concerned frown on his face. "Are you alright?"

Xanna shook her head, wiping a tear from the corner of one eye. She breathed deeply. "I thought the force was showing me a vision. How could it be him. I saw him die. He was my friend. Why?" It did not make sense, but then she remembered Oraka's words from before. That the Empire wanted to turn those who were left. Her jaw clenched. The tears stopped.

The two companions' reassuring touch was unfamiliar. He couldn't remember the last time he needed to be consoled in such a way.

She gave Petrus an indecipherable look but eventually nodded. They were going to need to be there for each other in the days ahead.

"Do you truly think we have a chance?" He spoke softly, looking straight ahead.

The two companions' reassuring touch was unfamiliar. He couldn't remember the last time he needed to be consoled in such a way.

"I do. I have to. When the darkness wishes to make us despair, even a single candle could be enough to light the way." She patted his muscley scales and then took Petrus' hand to help her up.

The old farmer was waiting on the shore.

"Come, we are not alone." Xanna walked towards Master Hin, hopefully leading the others along with her. "Master. I..." She paused, let out a breath, took a another. It helped. "The Inquisitor. I know why he is here."

[Oraka Hin]

The old farmer nodded to let her know he was listening.

[Xanna Teevou]

Well, there was no easy to say it so she just came right out with it. "Valus Mal. I thought I was just seeing a vision from the Force. But it was him. He tricked me. The Inquisitor is Valus Mal. Now he knows that we are on Bankor, and he knew about Veras."

[Petrus Karath]

Petrus frowned. "Who's Valus Mal?" He asked.

[Brother Sloan]

You know this Inquisitor Xanna? He thought to himself. Waiting in anticipation for clarity.

[Xanna Teevou]

"He was Master Hin's Padawan, when we fought in the Clone Wars." He was my friend. Her brow creased. "But he died, heroically. There was an explosion. How could he have survived that?"
