[Day 1 - MA] The Secret to Good Soup

[Xanna Teevou]

She shrugged and started to clean up the last of the stew in her bowl with a piece of bread. "The Imperials were giving Liua a hard time, so I stepped up and convinced them to stop. Your brother stood up to them with me."

A smile turned into chewing as she ate some of the now stewed bread. "We made a few new friends, so that was nice. Of course now I must watch out for this Captain Hrugos person..."

[Jenna Karath]

Jenna smirked, but cast a glance down and shook her head a bit, "That sounds a lot like him," she said, her smile had vanished. "Friends are good to have, but seems like you didn't just pick up friends today..." she drifted, thought, considered.

Laying her hand out on the table toward Xanna she looked at her, "You know if you need anything you can always ask, anything."

Maybe this was enough, she thought. Just, being there for people when they needed her. Seeing as if things came down hard here her brother might be involved anyway. If she got involved too... well, she'd not be endangering him at that point.

[Daunt]

"Maybe I'll trek around the planet one of these days, check on the place you speak of." Daunt responded to Xanna, but otherwise just half-listened to the ongoing conversations, eating up the soup.

[Bowze Coppa]

Bowze listened to the conversation, giving special attention on the topic of the raid.

You could have warned them...did you? he thought

He could have too...if he had known anyone he could have trusted.

Jenna smirked, but cast a glance down and shook her head a bit, "That sounds a lot like him," she said, her smile had vanished. "Friends are good to have, but seems like you didn't just pick up friends today..." she drifted, thought, considered.

She seemed pleased at Jenna's suggestion and nodded. "Thank you, that is very kind. With everything that is going on I might be taking you up on that. Hopefully the Imperial troopers will be satisfied with shooting up the place a bit and leave us alone." Not that Xanna believed they could resist causing future problems...

"Oh, I think they have a festival tomorrow. Maybe you should visit it then. What do you think of the Nerf Stew?"

[Bowze Coppa]

Bowze perked up

''A festival you say? What manner of festival?''

[Xanna Teevou]

She smiled at his enthusiasm. "Oh, it is to do with the Cramberries that the region is famous for. It is the big harvest day celebration I think. Many beings go to help. Also it is nice and cool there, not like the oven that is Rygor."

[Daunt]

"I just might do that, thanks for the tip. Do you know what it is about?" He gestured in approval. "The soup is quite tasty and filling. I will come again."

"It's good, a really wholesome experience," she said, casting a glance at the others. Certainly it was merely to inform them of the good family friendly atmosphere of it all

[Xanna Teevou]

"I just might do that, thanks for the tip. Do you know what it is about?" He gestured in approval. "The soup is quite tasty and filling. I will come again."

"I think an excuse for the local community to come together and open up to the world. They do it every year. People travel from all over to join in. I have kept missing it though, so I will go tomorrow for certain."

"It's good, a really wholesome experience," she said, casting a glance at the others. Certainly it was merely to inform them of the good family friendly atmosphere of it all

"I am glad you are enjoying it! Most beings hear soup kitchen and think it means only the cheapest food. Here I make all sorts of meals, but soup is good for feeding many." She shrugged. "Occasional paying customers usually mean I can afford to keep the free meals going for the less fortunate."

[Bowze Coppa]

''I will gladly go see this festival then'' he said with a timid smile ''I still insist to pay though. It would only be proper''

[Xanna Teevou]

She reached over and touched his hand. "You are very kind Bowse, but at least let me give you a discount." She leaned back into her chair. "Oh, look at the time, I had better finish getting set up before the rush begins."

[Daunt]

Daunt had taken off his armour, retaining just tight tanktop that let you count and measure his every finetuned muscle above waist, then wrapped himself with a waiter's apron and proclaimed himself ready extraverbally, just appearing before Xanna with a tray.

''I will ready the soap water for the dishes, if that is alright.''

Daunt had taken off his armour, retaining just tight tanktop that let you count and measure his every finetuned muscle above waist, then wrapped himself with a waiter's apron and proclaimed himself ready extraverbally, just appearing before Xanna with a tray.

Xanna looked at the muscle and then up at his face. "Well now, someone has not been missing abdominals day. Or any day."

''I will ready the soap water for the dishes, if that is alright.''

"That would be perfect, thank you Bowse. The other dishwasher candidate didn't even turn up, so now I have my team." She smiled at Daunt and Bowse then went to the door and flipped the sign to open. "Jenna, are you helping us today or do you have other plans?"

[Jenna Karath]

"I've nowhere better to be that won't get me in trouble," she quipped, looking at the motley crew. Part of her.. wanted to forget the criminals in the room, at least for a little while. Course with some she had better reason to worry than others but, perhaps in a sense the feeling was for herself mostly that drove her to try and forget. For right now, maybe, she could forget her own checkered past and poor decisions if she'd allow herself for a moment to forget theirs.

"Just tell me where you need me, and I can fill whatever position you need," she offered with a courteous smile.

[Daunt]

Xanna looked at the muscle and then up at his face. "Well now, someone has not been missing abdominals day. Or any day."

"I just hunt a lot. And since I am only an average hunter and I don't use projectiles, just the blade, a big part of it is chase through wilderness and the struggle with the prey. What you see is more byproduct than a project." He chuckled. "In the end, it's all about exertion."
