The whispers tingle up his spine an reveal shades of violence from the missing past and blood and savagery but also knowledge and power and glimpses of things and those who have been touched by the darkness and know it’s secrets… his Master… Juri… the face of a woman he saw around Juri’s clinic.

A growing darkness behind them all and then he saw Lyla which seemed odd but this weapon it was his at least for now, perhaps it had been another’s but now it was his. It had killed before and it would do so again.

He didn't shake it off, or dismiss it. He absorbed it, the reminiscences of lives and feats that may not have been his own but he had plenty of space within him to keep them and to learn from them. He had had one teacher, and then another, and now also another. Their teachings would gather in him but how he would mould them into something of his own was the first shade of a goal he could call his in a long time. To govern the abundance, not to embody the emptiness of form and function.

He enjoyed the memory of the blade, he was hungry for its history, the feel of deaths it exacted, the traces of heritage. His own life was a grander metaphor of such blades burning of anger, bright long ago, then doused for millennia, and only now lit again. His story could only be a part of a bigger one, but for the first time he felt he could tell his part.

He desired to see it, the past written in red gleam.

Daunt stared at the glow. The reflection of it in his vibrantly green eyes was unaesthetic, yellowish. He was feeling out the grip before taking a practice swing, to the sound of foreboding schoom. It was light, way too light for what he had got used to, and so it went wider than he anticipated. His eyes caught the sight of the hovering training bot. He approached it with a thrust from an upper quarter of his body, putting body weight on the back leg for control. It was really just a distance-crossing feint for the strike at the bot came with a narrow-angled testing swing from the wrist, non-impetuous as Daunt was counting on the laser to connect enough.

The strike was unlikely to strike for it wasn't adjusted to the speed of the robot, but it gave Daunt a lot of feedback about the weapon he sought.

Hrugos said, "Impressive, well we are done here." He moved to take a seat at his desk.

Daunted doused it and returned it to the box, along with the training bot. "Very well, officer. Good day, and good hunting." He closed and collected the Inquisitor's gift.

On his way out of the complex Daunt stumbled upon the Mandalorian. Since he recognise him, he nodded for a greeting from under his cowl.

Venator tilts his helmet in a nod back to the Zabrak he saw at the VIP gathering. Once they finish processing his request he'll head into the Foundry in search of his quarry.

[Daunt]

Undisturbed, the Zabrak would leave, the weight of the box on his hip under the cloak.
