Liua listened intently and then weighted the words in her keen analytical mind, but everything was in the past tense so what did that mean? She was practically an adult and not a kid, what was she five? Lovely young woman but not gorgeous young woman, because he’s an idiot. She chewed over the words and then dropped her cig in the bowl and said, “Thanks for the food.”

After a moment of mutual what-staring, Petrus shook his head. He jerked a thumb off towards the direction Liua had gone. "Do you have any idea what that was about?" He shrugged. "Teens are weird, I guess."

He gave Verse a concerned look. "So... you been doing okay? Some friends of mine said you had a little trouble a few days ago. And that was before... tonight." He grimaced.
