[Verse Aura]

After the day she had, Verse knew she was going to need to make some modifications to her equipment. And that meant acquiring a toolkit, and enough parts to actually do something with it. She sighed, she really didn't have a whole lot of money. Not enough to do everything she wanted to do, but being a big damn hero required big damn sacrifices and it wasn't like she had much use for credits besides this sort of thing anyway.

So, she found herself wandering the market in the evening. Surely there were still some merchants around hoping to take advantage of people's growing need for stuff. After today's attack, people might even be desperate for a variety of items that the merchants would be only too happy to sell to them and keep their shops open a little longer than usual in order to facilitate the sales.

Eventually, she manages to find herself a basic toolkit to purchase, as well as a variety of scrap parts she might be able to use.

[Verse buys a Toolkit (350 credits), and a 168 credits worth of parts. She also picks up another stimpack for 25 credits

She wasn't the only one shopping, though she was having a great deal more success than Djanik.

Going from booth to booth, he couldn't help but scowl as none of the wares met whatever his hidden criteria might be.

"None of these fit the bill... shiny, fast, or explosive..."

[Verse Aura]

After all that shopping, Verse was... almost out of credits. Which was terrible because she totally needed more parts to work with or she wouldn't be able to do as much work on her lightsaber as she was hoping to do. But she'd figure something out, probably.

She was about to leave the market when she spotted Djanik, and decided to go over and say hello.

"Hey, what are you looking for?"

[Venator Praedae]

Venator is shopping around with a limited budget as well. He looks over some tools that he may need for an up coming job. He makes a small purchase and continues on when he sees a couple of familiar faces. He raises his hand to greet them. "Howdy pardner."

Then tips his helmet to verse. "Even'n lil lady. Do'n some lade nigh shopp'n?""

[Verse Aura]

"It's easier than going scavenging," she said to the... oh yes, the man in the helmet. Unless it was a different man in a different helmet. Or a different man in the *same* helmet. She looked up at him. "Though I wish I could get another hundred credits for parts, at least."

[Venator Praedae]

"Mmm? Guess dis be ya lucky day lil lady. I jus so happen da have some scrap wid me. Dese merchands are gonna rip me off preddy bad so I dun mind selling id to ya." Venator proposes.

[Verse Aura]

"Well," she seemed hesitant, "I mean I don't actually *have* a hundred credits to pay with, though."

[Venator Praedae]

Venator pauses for a moment. "Hmm... ya dun do ya? How 'boud dis den? Ya can have wa you need now. Den jus pay me back lader. I dake credids or weapons."

[Verse Aura]

"Well, that *is* very generous of you, but I don't know if I'll be able to pay you back. Credits are hard to come by and... well, I'm not sure if I'll be around to pay anything back."

[Venator Praedae]

"Ya god a Galacdic Holonet number?" Venator asks and takes out his commlink.

"Imma sure ya'll be able to pay me back ad some poind. If nod... well I can always hund you down." He jests. He is joking right?

[Verse Aura]

"I... I don't have a commlink actually."

She wasn't sure if he was joking or not about the hunting her down part. Although having even more people hunt her would be pretty expected at this point.

[Djanik]

Djanik followed the conversation with amusement.

"Well, I do - and she knows where to find me, and I her, so we'll certainly work it out."

Turning to the other two, he added, "I'm trying to find a good wholesale price on Correllian ale. For reasons."

[Venator Praedae]

"Correllian ale?" Venator asks.

"We'll figure somesh'n oud. Do ya wan da scraps? If nod, Imma jus gonna sell dem. I'll give ya a deal lil lady." He asks Verse again.

[Verse Aura]

"Well... if you're sure then? I could certainly use it, probably. How much can you give me, and how much would you need in return?"

She smiled; it was hard to tell with all that armor, but she figured there was a good person underneath.

[Djanik]

"Yes, but it's a particular batch I'm looking for."

He scowled.

"I'm starting to think the Nerf may have bought the entire shipment. None of the usual suspects have had any."

As for the scrap, he added, "I'll cover the difference if she can't pay you back, Venator. Makes it a simple enough trade, eh?"

[Venator Praedae]

Venator actually has the scrap on him as he was planning to sell it. He opens up his backpack. At a quick glance its over 200 credits worth of scrap. "I'll give ya'll of dis for 150 credids. Jus pay me back when ya can darl'n. We square?" His expression is of course concealed under the helmet.

"Hmm... guessing da booze is in high demand. Ya can if you wanna pardner. Assuming da lil lady is fine wid da. Id dun madder ta me which way da roosder crows." He replies back to Djanik's suggestion.

[Djanik]

Djanik chuckled.

"I can do 100 - you're a good hunter, but you'd have to be a master negotiator to get one of these merchants to give you that price."

With a faint shrug, he added, "If you like, I'll throw in a drink next time we're at the nerf."

[Venator Praedae]

"Danks for da recognishion bud for ya I'll go as low as 120 and a drink." Venator counters.

[Djanik]

"110, and I'll make it a nice drink."

Djanik stuck his hands in his pockets.

"Final offer."

[Verse Aura]

"Well I'll take it then!" She exclaimed, "You don't know how much difference this might make, thanks. But a 150 seems more than low enough already, doesn't it?"

[Djanik]

Djanik looked at the padawan.

"If you want to pay the difference, that's your choice."

With a faint shrug, he added, "Some of us have spent a little more time on a limited budget, Verse."

[Venator Praedae]

"Sounds like a deal." Venator shakes on it to finalize the deal. He offers the scrap over to Verse.

"Ya jus gedd'n oud on your own Verse? Ya dun seem like some sheldered lil lady." He asks after accepting the credits.

He looks over some respirators before settling on one and purchasing it.

[Djanik]

Djanik sighed, and winced at his lessened wallet.

"A deal indeed."

Glancing back at the stalls, he wondered how she'd answer.

[Verse Aura]

"Oh... uh, yeah, something like that?"

She was *pretty* sure he was asking if she was... trying to adult for the first time? Or something? Not exactly accurate, but hey she still couldn't just come out and say what she was really doing.

"Anyway, thanks again. I'll make sure to pay you when I can."

[Venator Praedae]

"No worries dere lil lady." Ventor puts away his credits and closes his backpack after he passes over the scrap and secures his respirator.

"So are ya some kind of grease monkey like Djanik dere? Or ya jus gonna use all da for some kind of upgrades?" He asks making some small talk.
