[Day 3-EA] Five Digit Discount

[Jabber]

Jabber has an idea to pick up an item that he feels that might be...useful in the coming hours.

"I am looking for a dictaphone. You know, collect my thoughts. That kinda thing. You know who would sell those?" The junk salesman looks over Jabber, surprised at the idea that anyone would want to record this jibberish...if he can even be understood at all.

The proprpietor nodded and showed them a selection of equipment.

OOC: Give me a Skullduggery check at Hard, spending a Destiny so 1 red and 2 purple plus a setback for a security system.

[Jabber]

Jabber picks up a bunch of different pieces, examining them and then replacing them, doing his best to lull the shopkeeper into a sense of security. Then, when he's ready to make his move he palms the recorder and sets down a worthless piece of scrap in its place and continues browsing, doing his best to look nonchalant.

Sadly he can't get the recorder, the proprietor does show it to him and does not at least think he was trying to steal from him, that would be wrong.

"Hmmm...that price is a little steep for me. Do you know anyone who would sell it used? I would mention you and ask that you get a finders fee."

[Dapper Dog]

"Steep?" he proprietor said with a sigh.

"Check out a pawn shop or one of them... jawas..." they said realizing they were talking to a jawa.

[Jabber]

"Got, it thanks!"

Knowing that there are merchants of his own species has Jabber perk up. He strolls along, paying attention to pheromone signals that the Jawa use to communicate among each other. It was like remember another limb, or a 6th sense.

The jawas have a large stall of goods with no rhyme or reason, well toother beings but to Jawa senses it is pristine and well organized. They have a large amount of beautiful tinkery things so this little group/tribe/clan must be doing well.

The Jawa introduced himself as is proper, "Good sir, I say old chap, have you a need for fine discount merchandise? Surely amongst these barbarous big folk you have a need that we fine upstanding fellows can assist?"

[Jabber]

"Ahh yes." Jabber responds, his Jawa at first halting, as he adjusts to his old speech patterns. "I have an assignment coming up, where I need to record someone's voice. It was too expensivr in the Big People shop, and I only need it for today. I am curious if there is room to barter, or rent for such a thing...it doesn't even need to be small. I can hide it well enough."

Jabber gestures to his tailored outer robe.

"Do you have anything like that?"

[Dapper Dog]

“Why old chap, we should be able to find an amicable trade for a temporary release of this fine contraption. What do you wish to make such a mercantile exchange for, any goods of quality you can offer as collateral?” he responded as they walked the rows.

His fellow Jawa were busy selling, trading, and stealthily acquiring objects for the hoard.

[Jabber]

Jabber pulls out a piece of scrap, a handful of credits and pauses. He fishes back into his pockets and pulls out a Distress beacon.

"What about this to start?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Why old chap this is a mighty intriguing contraption, have any spare energy clips?" the Jawa asked.

[Jabber]

"Well...I have one. Don't panic." Jabber pulls out one of his blasters and ejects the energy pack.

"Would this do?"

[Dapper Dog]

The Jawa is pleased and offers the recorder for the spare clip and beacon and throws in a fresh robe.

[Jabber]

Well,I won't be firing that second blaster for a while...but man, this is some great dealing.

"It looks like you're in the market for scrap. Do you buy? And do you have starship parts?"
