[Day 3 - MM] The Jedi Distraction [Event]

[Mianerra Tavvos]

"Goodbye, boulder," Mia whispered before giving it a couple pats. Then she ran off in a different direction from Verse. The Mirialan was right, after all.

[Dapper Dog]

"Quick! Find cover, and don't get too close to me, she's after me!"

Verse would start running toward the nearest building that looked like it could provide cover; and which hopefully was also solid enough to not crash down on top of her from a little laser fire.

Inside were several workers wondering what the hell is happening, it looks like a plant floor with high gangways above and large vats of chemicals.

[Verse Aura]

If the inquisitor was going to keep firing, these people were all in danger... and she didn't think she had the time to really explain the subtleties of what was happening to them; so she might as well play into the 'Jedi are traitorous scum' angle a little.

"Everybody! I'm a Jedi here to tear down the empire! You'd all best get out of my way!"

Surely the still glowing lightsaber should drive the point home; and she swung it around for good measure as she ran toward the stairs to get up on those gangways.

"Rawr!" Verse tried to give a convincing roar at some of the people who weren't evacuating as fast as they should.

[Dapper Dog]

They would cower before her, except they shouldn't; they should actually flee.

[Sinnya]

"Scatter" was all well and good, but did Verse actually have an exit strategy besides that? Sinnya wasn't at all confident. If the plan ended with one Jedi rescued but a different Jedi blown up in a chemical plant explosion, wasn't it a wash?

Sinnya darted after Verse into the building. "What are you doing?" she yelled at the running Mirialan. "Out the back, not up! If that TIE blows the building you'll fall from up there, if you survive that long!"

She kept moving, noting where the exits were from the paths taken by the (hopefully fleeing) workers.

"We can lose them on foot if we keep moving!"

[13th Sister]

The 13th Sister smiled as she checked the reicule and then swung the fighter towards the building that Verse ran into and wondered briefly if she sh should show restraint… and then sfired the cannons once more into the building!

None of the blasts seem to come near the Jedi and the Aznuri but the damage is extensive as several vats start to tip over exposing their dangerous contents onto the plant floor! The works trying to avoid both the blasts and flying debris and now the dangerous chemicals!

She then spoke into her comm, “Lock down the prison… my gut says they may be coming for my prize.”

Meanwhile…

Boulders is evading a squad a storm troopers oin foot frantically searching for her and her fiends.

OOC: No reason to roll but she does lots of damage to the building.

13th Sister Gunnery: 3eA+1eD 0 successes

[Verse Aura]

"But there could be an exit up he--" Verse's reply to Sinn'ya was cut off by the lasers hitting the building, and the chaos that followed. Fortunately, Verse had an easy time keeping from falling into those vats.

"You okay?" She looked in the direction she'd last seen Sinn'ya, and assuming she found her safe and intact, scanned the rest of the room for any hurt workers. And, assuming there weren't any of those, she'd try and find her way to an exit.

[Dapper Dog]

She noticed a worker pinned by falling debris and flaming chemicals moving towards them quickly on the ground floor but there is an easy exit out of the building in the other direction.

[Verse Aura]

"Get out of here!" She yelled at her twi'lek companion, before jumping down and moving toward the pinned worker.

She was supposed to be a scary Jedi terrorist to these people, but she couldn't just let him die. Putting her back into it, she'd try to lift the debris that had him pinned.

[Dapper Dog]

OOC: Athletics check at Hard.

[13th Sister]

There were times when things needed a personal touch. She casually threw aside a five ton vat of chemicals into a wall as she made her approach towards the Jedi.

[Sinnya]

Sinn was not likely to be lifting any flaming cars off of innocent bystanders, but she did hang back by her chosen exit to see that everyone (especially Verse) was going to make it out. After that, the factory could burn down for all she cared. Good riddance!

She hoped Mia was okay, but at least she knew the young rebel leader didn't have a TIE on her tail. Given the way she tossed boulders around like beach balls, Mia could surely handle anything short of a starfighter...

[Verse Aura]

"Rawr!"

Again Verse roared, this time from the physical strain of lifting the debris. The vat crashed into the wall near them, causing her to take notice of the approaching Inquisitor.

"Run!" She yelled at the worker.

She'd drop the debris as soon as he was clear; hopefully she'd still have some room to try and escape before the 13th Sister got close enough.

(just in case, would like to commit FR to Sense, assuming that's possible in reaction to what's happening?)

“I had fun with Qareme, but then she ran out of limbs… maybe tonight I will start on her face,” the woman said as she walked forward without much haste.

“What do you think Jedi?”

OOC: That is fine.

[Verse Aura]

"I think you're a very angry person who just really needs a hug!"

She started running toward the exit then.

"But sorry, I got places to be!"

She kept a look-out for anything she might do to slow the sister's chase. Perhaps there was a still intact vat she could drag her lightsaber across to have some of that caustic material spew out and block off the path?

[Dapper Dog]

OOC: Lightsaber at Average.

[Verse Aura]

And would you look at that, a vat ready to be lightsabered. She dragged hers across with gritted teeth, hopefully slowing the sister down.

The vat falls and blocks her path but the chemicals form a river of fire in front of her as well roaring with heat! They block her path out and then she feels peace… she is not alone and she hears a calm older male voice, “You are not alone, padawan.”

A hole forms in the wall of fire and on the side is a dark robed figure, “Flee this place, quickly.”

[Verse Aura]

"Uhwha?"

No time to think about what the hell was happening, she jumped through the hole and toward the mysterious figure.

“Your friends need your strength,” he said, placing a hand on her shoulder.

“I will buy you the time you need, remember a Jedi is never truly alone with the Force as our ally.”

The Inquisitor flung the vat aside just as he stepped through the hole in the flames and it closed behind him.

[Sinnya]

Sinnya hovered by the exit hoping to grab Verse and skedaddle off into the familiar byways of the industrial quarter. As the wall of fire sprung up between the Jedi and the door, she almost lost hope and bolted.

Then something really weird happened.

She did indeed see that.

[Verse Aura]

"Wait," she was alarmed as he didn't join her, "...but you might need help too!"

She stopped on the other side of the flames, not entirely sure what was happening, but knowing that she didn't want to leave this stranger to die at the hands of the sister either.

Sinn'ya of course, might be able to forceably drag her from her stupor...

On the other side of the flames...

“Another waif come to the slaughter,” the Inquisitor cackled as she ignited her double bladed lightsaber.

The heat was glorious as she laughed maniacally, “I will find her after I am done dealing with you.”
