[Day 3 - MM] The Jedi Distraction [Event]

Djanik's voice cut in on the comm, "Things are getting started here - I'd recommend you take the attention elsewhere if you can. You come in here shooting, you risk hitting friendlies while they are moving prisoners out. Get that fighter somewhere safe, and be ready to come in to help if anyone follows us out!"

[Sinnya]

"Neela's ship!" Sinnya chirped from the background again, with a tinge of hysteria. "You know. The Sith demon officer."

Because that was definitely very clear.

"Glad to hear you're all safe," Mia said over her comlink. She continued to help the workers get out to safety. "Say, I thought I heard some snap hiss brrrrr in there. You're telling me that isn't you?"

More adrenaline pumping in her bloodstream than she'd ever experienced before was giving Sinnya's voice an uncanny, chirpy cheerfulness. "It was her! But then someone else showed up! He had one too! He told us to run!"

"Just how many of you guys are here on this planet?" Mia asked, "Whatever, glad to hear you're safe."

"Wouldn't four on one make a lot more sense?"

[Verse Aura]

"Maybe, but... but it'll be alright. It's got to be. If you see a friendly old dude down there, tell him thanks. Meanwhile, maybe we can hover this thing somewhere out of sight, but near the others? So we can move in and help when needed?"

"This isn't necessarily a secure channel so you may want to put a lid on the 'four of us' talk."

"You're telling me we never secured the channel?" Mia shrugged. "Sorry, there are tens of us fighting here, not the specific amount of people who had been spotted speeding away from the prison."

Lacking more specific instructions, Sinnya guided the TIE low and cautious toward the desert outskirts of Rygor, in the direction of the Wound.

She kept an eye out for other Imperial craft in the sky over the city—or unsuspecting Stormtrooper squads that needed blasting.

There is an incoming message on beeping at her on another channel.

[Verse Aura]

"Hey uh... is that supposed to be making that beeping noise?"

[Sinnya]

“Shh!”

Sinnya slapped the button. “Uhh... hello? I mean, come in!”

She tried to make her voice a little more deep and scary, like the Thirteenth Sister’s. Not that she knew this was the terrifying woman’s title.

[Dapper Dog]

“Inquisitor? I mean Inquisitor, we have a full scale riot at the facility, shall I initiate Purge Protocols?” a voice responded.

[Sinnya]

“No!” With a heroic effort, Sinnya swallowed a squeak. “Ahem. No! Those prisoners are....” umm, umm, umm “valuable! Yes. Some of them have valuable information. I’m on my way now.”

She carefully turned her head so as not to hyperventilate directly into the audio pickup.

[13th Sister]

“This is 13th Sister,” she paused and then added, “You have received my authorization code. Purge them all, Unit 456-Bex-6 is now AWOL, destroy on site.”

“I am on my way to the facility, now.”

OOC: Despair used.

"Belay that order!" Verse shouted into the comms. "That is a resistance liar telling lies!"

She punched the side of the cockpit.

Sinn hissed like an angry manka cat and tugged on the control yoke, putting the TIE into an upward climb to see if she could spot whatever craft the Inquisitor was supposedly taking to the prison facility.

She spots a speeder bike slicing through the desert.

[Sinnya]

“Hang on!” Without looking back to see whether Verse had done so, she swooped after the speeder, pinning it with as many of the TIE’s sensors as she’d figured out how to use so far (she wasn’t sure if that was all of them).

“Let’s see how you like it, demon!”

The 13th Sister reached out as she sped across the black dunes and was able to grip the Tie Fighter only partially but it was enough to shift the craft even at that distance.

OOC: Not able to tear it down but will add a setback to the attack.

Meanwhile, Verse got on the comms again. "Uh yeah, this is uhh, Verse 2-1 Actual. Calling all resistance personnel... just letting you know, something called a 'Purge Protocol' has been activated. I'm guessing that's bad."

Sinnya gritted her teeth and fought the TIE's controls as something that wasn't wind shook the hull. "What the--?" It was like pure rage itself had reached out and shaken the little craft for a second.

She mashed the turbolaser triggers, but the acid-green bolts went juuust wide of the speeder bike, pocking the desert sand with glassy craters that quickly began to slump and erode.

She dodged the blasts and then whipped her speeder around and crested a high dune at high speed and then jumped from the vehicle, it was then that Sinnya realized what she was doing when a red blade shattered through the canopy inches from her face as the 13th Sister gripped the flying craft…

She laughed like a maniacal mad woman.

OOC: Using Destiny to convert Light to Dark suffering 2 strain, uses those pips for the Force Jump of Force Jumps landing on the Tie Fighter.

"She can't do that! Verse!" Sinnya's cry was both shocked and a bit plaintive. "...Can she do that?"

What to do, what to do...

Sinn had never actually flown a TIE before, or any kind of starship. She'd already noticed the inertial dampeners in this thing were way better than any airspeeder she'd ever handled, though.

"Hold tight. This is crazy, but I've heard spinning is a good trick!"

She wrenched the yoke and threw the TIE into a wild spin, hoping to throw the madwoman off by sheer centrifugal force.
