As for me, any character who's been around Rygor the past year could know Elaranu already, especially if they have a starship, if they spend a lot of time at the space docks, or they love live music.

Also, on the off chance your character ever had anything to do with ranching, beast riding, and/or the jerky industry.

If you've been in trouble and had someone help you out before you got shot to death, it was likely the giant Zabrak

If you've had ties to the Jedi, you may have met/come across Qareme.

Same here but in the sense that Jabber is considered a negotiator. Possibly a connection there

As for Jabber:
-Have you been on Tatooine? You might have heard a story about a pack of Jawa getting on Jabba's bad side
-Have you looked to hire a "freelancer" for any odd jobs, no questions asked? You might have hired him.

If you are a criminal type who needed a getaway pilot, a quiet bit of mechanical fixing, or some advice on how to 'properly' handle the possibility of Imperial patrols in a heist you were planning, you may have had the chance to hire Djanik.

Alternatively, if you are the sort who knows the local street kids, you'll know they've adopted the loner whenever he is in town between jobs, as he's been off and on for the last year. He can often be found at local scrap warehouses or cheap diners, escorted by a small cadre of street urchins, mooching food from him and trying to get him to show them how to take apart a datapad.

Alternatively still, if you ever spent time in the military you might immediately pick up on his demeanor and accent as being remarkably *navy*, and Imperial Navy at that.

If anyone is looking for a connection from off-world in the last two years, Jiam's been working odd jobs as hired muscle with no particular homebase, so she might have run into you just about anywhere.

Possible hooks:

Like work of questionable legality but with a high likelihood of undermining the Empire? We may have worked together.

Like making money by protecting Imperial interests or quashing dissent? Mmm, we may have been at opposite ends of a blaster. But we might have become friends later -- if you changed your ways.

Run in mercenary/hired gun circles? Maybe you know the crew that Jiam used to run with: the Black Fists. Jiam still has her blackened brass knuckles and left on good terms, so swapping stories could be fun.
