[Day 3 - ME] Rygor Street Art RP Thread

[Qareme Torth]

"No, that's fine. Of course." Petrus said, smiling. "You just caught me by surprise. I'd be happy to teach you, if you'd like to learn. All it takes is practice. And I guess having an eye for detail helps, too." Petrus had always been pretty good at noticing things.

He let out a breath. "But yeah, come over sometime. Or we can meet somewhere, a park or something, maybe the forest. How does that sound? Is there something particular you'd like to draw?"

"I do not know enough about drawing to say there is something I wish to draw. I feel that drawing may be useful for my education. Are parks and forests more usual places to draw? Perhaps...ah, scenery, to give inspiration to draw? I understand" Qareme nodded "I understand now. Yes, a place of scenery like a forest would be very good. Thank you for this, Petrus."

"Of course." Petrus said. "I mean, you've helped me tons of times in the past." He brushed a hand through his mussed red hair. "I mean, not that I wouldn't help you if you hadn't. Just that now I feel better about it."

He went on. "Besides, I need to get back into practice. I'm a bit rusty... and scenery was never a strong point of mine. We can learn together, huh?" Petrus gave her a smile and a friendly clap on the shoulder.

Still smiling, Petrus gave her a curious look. "So... did you try to create some art for the evening?"

"Of course." Petrus said. "I mean, you've helped me tons of times in the past." He brushed a hand through his mussed red hair. "I mean, not that I wouldn't help you if you hadn't. Just that now I feel better about it."

He went on. "Besides, I need to get back into practice. I'm a bit rusty... and scenery was never a strong point of mine. We can learn together, huh?" Petrus gave her a smile and a friendly clap on the shoulder.

Still smiling, Petrus gave her a curious look. "So... did you try to create some art for the evening?"

"It is done then. I am unsure what the upcoming days and weeks will be like, but if there is anything that requires your attention I can work around it."

There was a nod at his next question.

"I told a story, perhaps a poorly disguised one about a woman who took a great risk to rescue a friend. However I had been inspired to tell such a story."

"Oh, did you?" Petrus smirked. "Was that also Verse? She's gonna get a swelled head with all the praise she's been getting lately." He shrugged. "I mean, not that she doesn't deserve it, but still."

His smile faded. "I'm glad that you're alright. When she told me yesterday, I was..." he let out a breath, "-pretty worried."

[Verse Aura]

"You seem to know a lot about those things. But can you be an instrument of some abstract? I thought only sentients use tools."

"I... uhm... it was a figure of speech. Sort of. You don't become a literal tool. But aside from that it fits. Fighting must be done only for the right reasons, or we end up fighting just for the sake of fighting, and that brings only misery and suffering with it."

Dak enjoyed his time mingling about with the artists seeing the art they created and what it said about them and their view on the world. He quite enjoyed Dove's performance, hed have to seek her out at some point to compliment her skill.

For now he mingled about the festivities, drink in hand simply glancing at art as he passed and making conversation with those he recognized.

There are many heroes to this story" Qareme nodded in Petrus's direction, indicating him as one of them "as for that, I would tell you more if you wanted but in a more suitable place. "Good point." Petrus said agreeably. "Whatever you think is best."

He lead the way along a bit.

"So what's been your favorite thing? Did you see the dude made out of rocks? I know the artist." Petrus nodded. "It makes more sense if you know her."

Qareme turned to look at the arts on display, considering the question.

"I would offer three. The woman who sang presented an art that while unable to be displayed, still created a beautiful moment. I believe this painting here on display shows a wonderful message of hope, displaying that one person, no matter who they are, can make a difference. And, finally..."

There was a smile.

"The creation by Verse, because it is very Verse and I find that amusing. Even more so when you consider what it is showing."

[Dove Gray]

"Here?" He shook his head a rueful smile on his lips. "I thought about it, but I'm really not much of an artist. Might of been convinced if I had a few drinks though."

"Figured I'd take it easy instead." He grinned. "But you did great, I really enjoyed your song "

"I'm sure we can easily fix that, if need be," she grinned, and seemed to already look for a stall selling beer.

"Hey, thanks. Glad to know you enjoyed it. You think I got the talents for playing for a bigger venue than this?"

"Fighting might give you an adrenalin kick I guess, but that doesn't justify hurting other people, does it?"

"I'm sure we can easily fix that, if need be," she grinned, and seemed to already look for a stall selling beer.

"Well, if I get there maybe I'll sing something to finish off the night. Might be pretty off key though." Astin replied with a laugh.

"Oh, a band? I never considered that," Dove mused with interest as this gave her new ideas. "You don't happen to play any instruments or do anything musically? Except sing off-key, of course," she chuckled and gave Astin a nudge with her elbow.

"A bit of the guitar." He smirked. "As cliche as that is for a young man; I can tinker around on most stringed instruments though." He chuckled as she nudged him and shook his head, before giving her a nudge back.

"And no pianos for an attractive woman to sit on and sing unfortunately." Arriving at the beer stand he ordered two if the local brews, as was usually the case, the selection wasnt fantastic at things like this.

If he was buying, she wasn't going to complain. "Aw shucks, and here I thought I could wear a slinky dress as I lounged on a grand piano while singing. I've seen that in some jizz bars. Very cool, very sexy." She wiggled her eyebrows suggestivly.

"Guitar is nice. I have one back at the apartment that I use, but I wouldn't mind letting you borrow it if you don't have one."

"Huh." Petrus frowned thoughtfully. "I've heard about her. Both generally and then, y'know, yesterday." He gave a vague wave of his hand.

"Do you know, is she, uh, active?" Petrus gave Qareme a significant look. Hopefully she'd understand that he meant in the Resistance, and not into exercising or something.

Dove winked. "That's not the only thing I can tempt you to do. But yes, everyone can use some amount of sexy in their life. Imagine how dull the galaxy would be without it, huh?" Smiling, she accepted the plastic cup of beer. It was cheap stuff, but it helped keeping this kind of community stuff going.

"I've known plenty of guys like that. Saying stuff like friendship and sentimentality don't fit in the overheard locker. Are you that type of guy, or just a loner, perhaps?"

[Astin Denive]

That brought a laugh to his lips. "You're right about that, I've not always been known to think with my head." He tapped his skull with his friend hand. "When there is an attractive woman about teasing me and jabbing me in the ribs." That was likely a character flaw he should work on.

"It's also true that everyone can use some sexy in their life, so I agree with you there." He took a sip of his beer and pondered the next thing for a moment. "I think it's more of the loner thing honestly. Been mostly on my own for the last six years or so. Made some friends, hoped around some planets. Had a few lovers. Find the friends are easier to leave behind then the lovers, so I kind of try and avoid serious relationships."

"Mmm...." He shrugged. "I think packing light is more about practicality. It's not cheap to ship luggage."

[Dove Gray]

"Oh, I'm sure you do plenty of thinking with your head," she smirked behind the raised plast-glass and proceeded to take a deep sip of the cheap wine.

She did listen to his answer, and the interesting little tidbits he chose to reveal. "Mm, interesting," was Dove's first response as she considered his words. "A friend and I are looking to put together a crew... you know how to fly in space, or only on speeder-bikes and hovercrafts?"

He snorted at that but followed her lead, he was more of a beer guy. Wine did get the job done though.

"Oh, I can fly just about anything there is. I'm better with speeders of course but that's just a matter of practice. " There was a small pause "Not much practice with astrogation, but thats basically just numbers and I have a fair head for those."

"The friend of yours, Mia."

"Sentients shall always be seeking advantage of one another and define selves in opposition to others for various reasons, conflict and violence are inevitable. Why not embrace it and live the life that is rather than a fantasy?"
