Dak had had a rather exciting morning but there was no rest for the wicked. So as soon as the op was over he mounted his faithful Bootie Blaster and took off for the Shattered Graveyard to look for more scrap. He'd likely return later with his Mandalorian friend but he had a need for parts so multiple trips a day wasnt really a problem especially now that he had the Blaster.

Dak parked the speeder and began his search, sorting through piles of junk just looking for that one useful piece of equipment.

[Elaranu]

As Dak is digging around the sound of a starship approaching starts growing, the telltale sound of sublight thrusters as opposed to repulsors coming from the north. Whatever it was, the wrecks and heaps were doing a good job of keeping it out of view.

Heads toward the noise his blaster in hand as he clears corners and picks through the graveyard, it wouldnt do to get jumped by pickers cause he was distracted.

A Republic era ship came around a corner from that direction, flying so low as to actually be weaving between the giant wrecks and mounds. It wasn't gunning its engines or anything, but the pilot was certainly jinking about. Seeming to see him, possibly, it slows and lands it a nearby clearing, guns trained on Dak even as the landing engines shut off.

Huh well this was a rather interesting turn of events. With guns trained on him Dak swung the rifle onto his back and put his hands up in a peace keeping gesture. All he could really do was wait till see what happened.

[Elaranu]

The ramp gave a hiss and swung down... before a blue skinned woman with goggles over her eyes walked down it. There was a pistol at her side, though it wasn't drawn. She was about fifty meters away as she stopped at the end of the ramp, hands on her wide hips, "The self-proclaimed criminal. Mister... Dak, was it not? The coincidences, they can be funny sometimes."

With no live weapons pointed at him Dak relaxed a bit and a smile crossed his lips just as his eyes took in the new arrival "Ah the beautiful Elaranu, fancy seeing you here." He looked at the ship and whistled "wow got your own ship yeah? That's pretty impressive."

[Elaranu]

"Call it a loaner," she said loudly as she lifted her goggles, the striff breeze ruffling her hair as she walked towards him.

"Was just taking it out for a spin, testing its specifications, as it were. Out here all on your own?"

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak nodded putting his hands in his pockets "Yeah, just out here looking for some good useable stuff modifications and such, parts for my new speeder maybe. Thinking about putting a gun on it and I figure best place to find the gun or the parts would be out here."

He looked over the ship and then back to her "You're quite the flyer Elaranu, I saw you doing some pretty good maneuvering through the graveyard."

[Elaranu]

"Of course; I am best pilot on Bankor," she said with the insufferable aire of someone who believes themselves. "Despite the ship fighting against me that is."

She was about ten meters away now, "I was supposed to be patrolling, but just flying in circles is no fun for one such as me. Need some excitement."

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak raised an eyebrow "Best pilot on Bankor huh? Seems like quite the claim, but you dont lack for confidence I'll give you that." He said with a playful smile.

At her next statement his grinned widened a bit and took on a more mischievous look "If its excitement you're looking for I'm sure I could find you some of that."

[Elaranu]

She nodded a little as she slipped off her gloves, "Oh certainly. Just a matter of balancing work and excitement, I think. For all my flying around this morning, I plan on going back to town and getting out my tools, fix some things up. Perhaps things other than the ship. ...I suppose I might be off the clock now though. Perhaps."

[Jurdak Surt]

"And who tracks your clock? Is it just yourself or are you doing work on behalf of someone else these days?" He asked taking a few steps toward her to help close the gap to a comfortable conversational distance.

[Elaranu]

"There is a group that patrols the Graveyard here, actually. I agreed to help them, and in turn I get scrap for my projects. Keep the place safe and orderly, just ask for a cut in return."

Elaranu unzipped her flight suit to her navel, there a dark green sleeveless shirt covered it.

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak quirked an eyebrow fairly hard at that "You mean the bone pickers? You're working for those psychos?" Dak shrugged "just watch your back, they arent known for keeping their word." His eyes certainly followed her zipper, there was only mild disappointment about the green shirt underneath but Dak didnt show any of it.

[Elaranu]

"It is no more dangerous than anywhere else on this planet. At least that is my view of things. It did take some convincing though; I think I struck a pretty good bargain though. Assuming everything is kept up of course, as you have noted. The ship, if nothing else."

She motioned back towards it, "I would invite you aboard, but it is not exactly the nicest aboard ship yet; Still has not been cleaned or sorted out, and there are some missing panels and such. At least none of it is crucial system stuff."

[Jurdak Surt]

"Wow I didnt even think they would have a ship to bargain with. Maybe they have more resources over in bone town than I thought. And you must drive a hard bargain if you convinced someone to part with a space ship. Those things are worth buckets of credits even just to scrap."

[Elaranu]

"Indeed, curiously so. I am attempting to hedge my bets, but most of the surprises have been fortunate so far. Mostly."

[Jurdak Surt]

"What do you mean mostly? You've had unpleasant surprises as well?" He asked curiously.

[Elaranu]

"Nothing I cannot handle; Quarters are a bit cramped, though no more so than an apartment in Rygor. There is also buying into this whole plan of his... Still, I get a lot of discretion to just do things on my own and own ways so far, so I have high hopes."

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak raised an eyebrow "plan of his? What's that crazy bastard cooking up now?"

[Elaranu]

She chuckled softly, "Something, I am sure. Nothing I know of though, yet. I just meant this whole thing of having a scrap yard as a kingdom; Keeping out bandits and womp rats while demanding tribute. You do not find that crazy enough as well?"

[Jurdak Surt]

"Ahh all that? Nah I actually dont think it's that crazy I mean he found an area that people poor or desperate enough need to get some things. But I doubt that its lucrative enough to attract the eyes of the big crime orgs. Everyone wants to be someone important and he found a relatively safe way of doing so."

[Elaranu]

"Perhaps it is just because I come from such a well ordered society... Still, it is hardly the first thing that has seemed odd to me that others do not that I have run into since leaving Chiss space."

[Jurdak Surt]

Huh "I cant say I know much about the Chiss culture. I'd like to learn about it, it seems interesting." Dak found a smooth piece of scrap to sit on and lean back a bit.
