Ain't no sunshine (Day 3 Late Evening)

[Dapper Dog]

"He makes it himself?" she said with surprise.

"I never really thought about how it's made... I wonder how hard it could be?"

[Astin Denive]

"Never tried it myself, but from what I've heard from him it becomes easier over time. Most of the struggle is finding out exactly what you have to do and how?"

This was followed by a casual shrug as he started to place a couple bundles wrapped in foil in the fire coals.

[Dapper Dog]

"So what's for dinner?" she asked.

[Astin Denive]

"Fish, and some veggies. Got a bit of bread to go along with it too that I'll toast a bit for added flavor " He explained as he got out a skillet and prepared it for pan frying.

"Nothing too fancy, not that I really do fancy when cooking."

[Dapper Dog]

“As long as it tastes good, that’s all that matters. Is this a skill you learned while traveling?” she asked.

[Astin Denive]

"Well I got a bit better at it. But when you have nine younger siblings you tend to learn a bit about cooking. Kids are almost always hungry."

He smirked. "Surprised I know how to cook?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Yeah because I can't, I have tried and it didn't go well, I don't think I have the patience for it," she said honestly.

[Astin Denive]

"Have a bunch of munchkins running around going. 'Astin can I have a sandwich! Can you pretty please cut the crust off! Do we have anything to eat! I'm starving' " His tone changed as he imitated his younger siblings.

"And you learn of patience." The fish went into the pan alongside some butter and a few herbs. "Or at least learn how to fake it."

[Dapper Dog]

"How many siblings you have?" she asked with interest.

[Astin Denive]

"Eleven, two older nine younger. A whole swarm of them you might say. Or well that's what it always felt like to me." Especially when half a dozen of them went running by.

[Dapper Dog]

"Eleven?" she said with shock.

"Like from the same mother? No offense."

[Astin Denive]

"Yes, Ma'am." Astin replied with a playful wink. "All from my mama, though not at the same time." He grinned. "My parents really liked breaking in beds, if you catch my meaning."

[Dapper Dog]

"I... wow," she said.

"I thought three kids was a lot."

[Astin Denive]

"That how many sibling you have then? Two?" He asked casually as he started to put together two plates of food.

[Dapper Dog]

"I have none but I had a friend with two... so they had three as a family?" she responded.

[Astin Denive]

"Ah..." He frowned for a moment then pushed whatever ame to mind out of his head. "That would be the count of it. Well as far as I can tell."

Astin moved closer and handed Weggs a plate. "But yeah, six brothers and five sisters. So the ladies were a bit outnumbered at the dinner table."

[Dapper Dog]

"Is that a bad thing?" she said not really catching the joke.

[Astin Denive]

Which was fine it hadn't really been a joke anyways. "Depends on who you're asking I suppose." Now that they both had a plate he began to dig in.

"Some folks have different opinions on who they like to share a meal with after all."

[Dapper Dog]

She starts eating and said, "Thanks this is tasty."

[Astin Denive]

"Mmm..." He murmured his thanks for the compliment between bites of food. "I suppose home can go on a ride on that beast, when we're done with dinner."

"If you want to that is."

[Dapper Dog]

"Yeah that would be awesome," she said.

[Astin Denive]

"Alright then." Astin replied easily before falling quiet to eat. No reason you had to fill the silence, right?

[Dapper Dog]

She was content to just enjoy the food and company.
