The Zabrak nodded. "So it shall be then. My body is ready. My mind will catch up."

"Your Mind will need to do more than catch up," he said as he began the process of training the Zabrak in the proper use of the saber.

Daunt would prove to be an attentive student, soaking in lessons quickly and accurately.

"It shall be more then, once I know what more entails."

"What occludes your understanding, apprentice?" he responded as they trained.

"My disbelief in the deterministic nature of what some call the Force. I wish my path was my own but with the talk about destiny all around I am not certain it's possible, especially that a lot of it is shrouded with incomprehensible, self-contradictory mysticism."

"And yes it can be a bit.. esoteric."

"Is this esotericism a part of your tutelage?" Daunt followed the sabre form he was shown. "And so, is this wrong to claim that the Force 'wills' anything?"

[The Inquisitor]

"It ins't wrong, there are many interpretations of what the Force is," he responded honestly.

"Some give it a will others say it merely influences circumstances by i's existence and that it has no overall goal."

[Daunt]

Daunt absorbed it. He valued this kind of honesty. "Looks like I am not solitary in thinking it's all quite confusing... So what I am going to learn is how to make it useful in some way?"

[The Inquisitor]

“You will learn the tools to make you strong in body and mind. How to harness the dark side and decide your own destiny. I can show you the door, Daunt, nut it will be you that must walk through so to speak,” he offered.

“I prefer to keep my teaching grounded in what is understood, and what is useful.”

"Then you're the teacher I need. You'll have a dedicated student in me." Daunt confirmed his commitment to conditions as stated.
