[Day 4 - LE] Dead to Me

[Dapper Dog]

Dove and Dak had gotten a polite nod when Astin saw they in the crowd, but he didn't join them. Two men usually ended up a problem when there was only one woman, and there were plenty of other attractive ladies around. The singer, the familiar looking sister at the bar, hell even the bartender.

Settling in to watch the song, a frown made it's way onto his lips as things turned south quickly. Glancing around the establishment he frowned, it seemed pretty in tact from the earlier quakes, but maybe there was something he could do to 'accidentally' shut off the power? With the lights off the band could likely make a hasty escape in the chaos.

[Astin Denive]

While usually he was pretty good at these things, Astin didn't have any luck tonight as he tried to disrupt the power to the bar.

Well now that was just poor behaviour, arresting the band! Musicians were a protected institution in civilization!

With the amount of people here, she didn't want to tip her hand by pulling rank over the Captain - that could get a target painted on her head.

Killing the lights would be a hindrance to herself as well as them, but she figured she'd rush them out the door in a bit more of a paniced state. Time to set off the fire extinguishers. Dove just hoped that this building had something of the kind.

OOC: Looking to set off the fire-system, in hopes that it will make the Imps rush out instead of taking their time and doing things properly. If need be I'll flip a Destiny for there to be a fire extinguishing system to set off.

[Vaya Mer'darrow]

Vaya acted like the sort of person she often was, and hoped the Imperials would remember her as, if they remembered her at all: a mynock. She made quickly and casually for the door, like someone who didn't want anything to do with anything looking like trouble.

Once outside she surveyed for a place to lurk, thinking wildly about what to do that wouldn't make everything worse.

Ooc: can I make a check, either knowledge about Hrugos' rep or something (Perception?) about his current attitude, to get a sense whether this is a scare tactic or he actually intends to disappear/execute/indefinitely detain them?

[Ru'ni Wayne]

Ru'ni took a more subtle approach, trying to lead the crowd in a chant to show the Imperials they were up against overwhelming numbers.

"Encore, encore, we want more! Encore, encore, we want more! Encore, encore, we want more!"

All the time wandering through the crowd raising his arms to inspire them more, as he tried to move unnoticed between Trion and the soldiers.

[Daunt]

"Then I guess I have to take over." Daunt strode quickly to the midst of the room, onto the stage, toward the Monkey-Lizards, and took the mic. Then, turning it to max volume, he took breath and released the most terrible, ear-bleeding, loud and feral roar-growl from his Zabraki lungs that would possibly tear eardrums and break glass.

Or that was at least the plan.

“Depends on how much you like to get your hands dirty but I hear the Wall is making a move to consolidate the major gangs in the slums in the name of the Disciple. Don’t know them but if you want paying work they might be the way to go,” she responded.

“Hear the Hutts may be cleaning house as well, again bloody work though.”

"Thanks," she tossed down the customary amount of credits for the tip and turned off her seat, "Any idea where I'd start looking?" she asked, waiting but the moment for answer until she could slip away into the crowd to find out what else was going on.

A great deal happens at once as the fire suppression kicks in a Zabrak screams at the top of their longs and the place erupts into a stampede as people fear there could be a fire somewhere! There is some blaster fire but no one is hurt as the crowd spills outside.

The band takes the opportunity to flee out the back and well the overall mood is pretty much ruined as it takes several minutes to determine there is no fire. Hrugas and company leave though by the look in his eyes this matter is nowhere near resolved for the time being.

Just another night at the Salty Nerf?

[Jurdak Surt]

Seeing the imps leave without their prey Dak takes his stuff and ducks into an alley to make his way back to the Nerf. He looks for the platinum blonde hair belonging to one Dove Gray. Things seemed to have gotten quite hairy as the street was full of wet and panicked bar goers.

[Dove Gray]

"Kriff," Dove cursed under her breath... or so she thought, as her tone was much higher than she thought, as she couldn't really hear very well at the moment. She pinched her nose, trying to fix her hearing.

She felt pretty miserable being drenched in water right now. But the combined efforts of chaos had worked it seemed. "Anyone got a towel??"

[Ru'ni Wayne]

As the place empties, Ru'ni moves closer to the now empty bar and claims a premium seat for himself.

"Now that's entertainment." He chuckled to himself as he helped himself to an abandoned beer.

Looking around for the barkeep, he either procures a towel or reaches behind the bar himself if unattended, and tosses one to Dove.

"You did start the downpour Miss Dove. Kind of your own fault." He comments as he can't help but observe the pale lady's dripping wet body.

[Daunt]

"What's a little shower between fellow bar patrons." Daunt would have offered the towel but had none handy. So he just took a seat by the bar and checked if the glass was still there.

[Jurdak Surt]

The bar being much emptier than it had before finding Dove was much easier. Jurdak chuckled at the sight of her all wet "Well it seems I lucked out and missed the party."

[Dove Gray]

"What? I didn't fall?" Dove responded to Ru'ni, accepting the towel. The leather jacket came off, which let her show off her bare shoulders and most of her upper body considering the low cut on the outfit.

Alas, the towel was covering up the interesting parts as she started to dry herself. As Dak spoke to her, the temporarily malfunctioning hearing played some more tricks on her ears. "Hearty?"

[Jurdak Surt]

"Not Hearty. PARTY." He said a bit louder for her to hear he certainly wasnt missing a chance to take an eyeful of the lovely Dove though.

He looked about "so whatd I miss, you all sure know how to clear a room."

Vaya felt extra justified at her prudent retreat to the second line of defense for the band as she saw how damp and ear-bruised the crowd had become. She'd have hated to put her antennapalps through that.

Still, perhaps there's something more she can do...

Vaya knew musicians and knew they area around the Salty Nerf. It wasn't hard to figure out where they went.

Ultimate goal is to help them vanish/get off planet/whatever -- Triumph to help get a head start on that, or to aid in talking them into that?

"Apparently impromptu showers are not on the to do list for most of the locals. Just reminds me of the summer rains." Ru'ni comments with a laugh as he sips at the now watered down beer.

[Daunt]

"It wouldn't have been this effective if they had got used to." Daunt remarked, claiming someone else's drink as his glass proved to be both empty and broken, and he wasn't metal enough to drink glass powder.

[Dove Gray]

"Well, I hit the fire extinguishers, and tall-dark-and-handsome did some shout into the microphone, and they ran for it." Her voice was still a bit loud, but it was coming back to normal along with her hearing.

"Good to know you're ok," she patted Ru'ni on the shoulder and looked around for Astin to check if he was still alive after all that.

[Ru'ni Wayne]

Ru'ni dropped a hand atop Dove's. "You too, would hate to lose a promising business partner too soon."

Glancing at the others, he vomments softly. "It was no coincidence they were hear tonight. Our Captain has something of an obsession with the lead singer." He confided in them, unaware that they already knew.

[Astin Denive]

Astin was stripping out of his shirt apparently done with the thing not it was wet. He gave Dove a smile when she looked his way before walking over to join the group.

"Anyone know the dress code here?" He asked casually.

[Daunt]

"Daunt's the name, Ms. Lithe-pale-and-bewitching." He raised the glass in a toast, all knew to what. "That he does. But if his idea of romance is locking her up, no wonder why the feeling couldn't last on her part."

[Dove Gray]

"Beats me, Speedie," she chuckled to Astin. "Guys, this is Jurdak. An old friend of mine. Jurdak; this is Astin and Ru'ni - my new ship-crew."

"And Daunt. Pleasure. Name's Dove," a nod and she cast glance around to see if it was possible to get a new drink. "And agreed, that's a rather poor idea of romance. No wonder the lady is running away."
