Dak chuckled "Well that's probably a better plan than anything I had." Dak looked to between Dove and Astin briefly his face a little unreadable as he made a mental note.

His signature smile found it's way back to his lips without too much delay "Well music's ruined but suppose the night doesnt have to be entirely ruined."

[Daunt]

"Now we're all met. Let it be that this round is on me." The Zabrak nodded and beckoned Wuxia. The cred pack was generous and would cover some of the damages.

[Ru'ni Wayne]

"Only that performance is ruined Dak, I seem to recall one of us made quite a showing a few weeks ago at the artistic gathering," Ru'ni gives Dove a smile and nod.

"Although I'm not sure if the circumstances encourage such a performance or not."

[Dapper Dog]

Vaya knew musicians and knew they area around the Salty Nerf. It wasn't hard to figure out where they went.

They don't want to leave the planet but she can definitely help them vanish.

"I've met Dak before." He offered a nod to the Cathar before approaching the bar to try and order a drink, wet shirt casually tossed over his shoulder.

"This fellow his new though." He nodded towards Daunt. "Astin." He offered with a smile.

"Dak's right though, there is always booze to be had, and if we can get the audio system working, a little dancing will dry us off fast enough."

[Jurdak Surt]

He nodded back to Astin and looked about "yup could get the sound working again maybe, if instruments are about we might be able to get something going otherwise I'm sure we can just play some music. Assuming Daunt didnt blow the system. I heard that yell all the way down the street."

[Daunt]

"Daunt." He returned Astin's acknowledgement. "And I might have blown it, worth checking though. No remorse, but if you ask me never to repeat it, I'll consider it." With the drinks for all covered, he quirked hairless brow arc at the mention of dancing. "I like dancing. Since Trion is not around anymore, Dak owes me one."

[Astin Denive]

"I'll have a look at it then, see if I can get it up in running without electrocuting myself in the process." Astin offered and collecting his beer moved to do just that.

[Dove Gray]

"Woah, this is sudden," Dove said, trying to dry her ponytail. "... I'm gonna need a new whiskey."

She shook her head to get some air in her hair. It would be a while before it was completely dry, sadly. "... So how did you guys know that the Brute-Goon had a thing with the lady in question?"

[Daunt]

"It's not exactly a secret around here. Just talking a bit to the right people, like Wuxia." Whiskey arrived.

Dak shrugged "Daunt told me, I trusted him to not pass on info without a good reason. I knew something was going on with her when I met her a few weeks ago and spurned lover being the head honcho around here definitely fits the bill." He said moving next to Dove with two whiskeys one for himself and one for her.

"If I'm not playing music I'll certainly dance with you for a bit big guy." He said to Daunt and looked back to Dove "and I'll save one for you as well if you're up to it." He said with a wink.

Vaya made sure they had her commcode before she bid farewell to them. "Don't be a stranger," she insisted. "If you ever change your mind, I've got a ship.

"And I'll see about your equipment, too."

When she returned to the Nerf sometime later, she didn't expect to find a stranger playing the roadie, and seemingly half the rest of the bar warming up for a set. She paused in the doorway, frowning.

"Met her at a bar." Ru'ni replied with a smile. "Don't try the black cactus moonshine." He adds as an afterthought.

Humming to himself Astin did what he could to try to get the sound system in good order. It wasn't very fun work, not with booze around, but hey someone had to do it right?

Vaya rushed forward to the stranger, putting a hand in without saying anything in the way of introduction, just "No, this one goes here, that one goes there!" He actually seemed to have had things well in hand, but it made her itch to see musicians' instruments touched.

"Oh! Thanks, Miss." He offered the woman a smile as she came over to help, eyeing her a moment before looking back to the gear.

"You with the band?" Astin asked a moment later, she didn't look like she was here to party at least.

"Are you?" she shot back. Although if he actually was their roadie and they'd just forgotten to mention him, she was going to be embarrassed she was being rude.

[Ru'ni Wayne]

Ru'ni watched the two 'technicians' sniping at each other with an amused grin before he took over a couple of drinks to diffuse the situation.


"Apparently Daunt is paying, so some of the good stuff to go around?" He asked as he offered them each a cupful.

[Astin Denive]

"Are you?" she shot back. Although if he actually was their roadie and they'd just forgotten to mention him, she was going to be embarrassed she was being rude.

He blinked at that, then smiled. "I didn't mean to imply anything, Miss. Was just thinking that you weren't dressed all sexy like so you might be here working."

"Though I'm not one either truth be told, I just know it's not good for this kind of stuff to sit in water. I was hoping to be able to loop some music through the sound system too. This place is pretty lame without music."

[Dapper Dog]

The staff return and get things back in order or try to... they are surprised to find people inside.

"Apparently Daunt is paying, so some of the good stuff to go around?" He asked as he offered them each a cupful.

Vaya did a double take at the extremely Anzuri man offering her a drink, and a third at the brutal criminal who was apparently covering the bill. She gave the former a friendly nod and the latter an exceedingly polite salute with the glass from across the room.

He blinked at that, then smiled. "I didn't mean to imply anything, Miss. Was just thinking that you weren't dressed all sexy like so you might be here working."

"Though I'm not one either truth be told, I just know it's not good for this kind of stuff to sit in water. I was hoping to be able to loop some music through the sound system too. This place is pretty lame without music."

On its own, she would have been better than half mollified by the implication that Astin was touching the equipment out of concern for it, and a little more by the desire for more music. She found that very understandable.

Combined with the first part, he worse than broke even. "First, it's Doctor," she said sharply, "and second, I'm dressed like someone who came to listen to music, maybe without having to strain to hear it over what the local mynock population considers to be flirting." She switched a vacu-amp on and off. "This one's good," she said, levelly.

[Astin Denive]

He couldn't help but laugh at that, apparently not offended in the least. "Alright then, Miss Doctor. That's a fair point you made." Accepting the glass from Ru'ni he set it to the side, and moved to work on the next Vacu-amp.

"I'm Astin by the way." He added as he started working again.

[Dove Gray]

"I see..." Dove nodded, accepting the glass of whiskey. And then looking slightly sheepish as people returned back in.

People were probably going to think everyone still standing here were a crazy bunch.

[Jenna Karath]

Jenna had filtered out with the crowd, and filtered back in with the crowd, she saw Vaya run off by the little familiar antennapalps but truly didn't think it was the wise thing to further complicate by giving chase. For a moment, she thought, of the potential of a mark in Hrugos but he was military and angry, she'd push the Karath family into a dark hole getting mixed up in something like that. So she floated, for a while, and then shifted back in once the crowd had enough time to make her return as unceremonious as possible.

There was much to figure, much to do, but she had time.. she had to have time.

"I see..." Dove nodded, accepting the glass of whiskey. And then looking slightly sheepish as people returned back in.

Dak relaxed back and smiled to the people as they arrived. As he was already near Dove a hand reached out to her waist and quiet words entered her ears "I'm glad you're ok, I heard blaster fire and got a little.....worried. the words were meant for her and no one else but it's possible others picked up part of it. He gave her waist a squeeze and leaned back against the bar sipping his drink.
