Delia looked back down the corridor and then to Juria and said, “Sounds like an old friend.”

She had a faraway look for a moment as she considered the question and then responded, “She’s from Bankor, I came here when I was younger… it’s been awhile and she wanted to come back so I decided to go with her maybe start over. I worked as a teacher on Dantooine, not sure if there is work to be had but maybe I could do stuff for you around your clinic? Until we find a place of our own?”

Delia sounded hopeful and added, “If that is okay?”

“You don’t amount to a hill of beans kid. And I’m thinking you took this here refugee’s stuff and then got all defensive about it. I’m real disappointed right now.”
The frowned weighing his options and then fished in his pocket and pulled out a stone charm and said, “I found it, on the ground I was gonna give it back eventually... whatever bug eater can have it back.”

The kid tried to save face by puffing out his chest and then slinked away as the rodian took the stone and then said in Huttese, “Thank you, thank you, it was my husband’s hunt stone, it’s all I have of him, many blessings on you.”
“Much obliged M’am. If for some reason you’re in need of boat repair... which hardly anyone ever is. Look for me in Jaklu. Otherwise you have yourself a pleasant day.”

She looks confused and said in Huttese, "Boat repair?"

"You fix boats? You mean like water skimmer?" she said in halting Basic.

Rannek sat in a corner of the main room munching on a bit of rehydrated bread. He was somewhat used to the ruckus that took place aboard one of these freighters... it wasn't his first space rodeo on such a craft. After downing the last bite of his bread and brushing his hands off on his pants, he began cleaning out the space under his fingernails with a little metal toothpick he kept handy.

Ela had found something... but truthfully she hadn't pushed play; As the situation with the Rodian had waxed and waned. she'd found herself secretly listening to their conversation, earbuds in her ears as if she weren't.

A ~boat~ mechanic? What kind of backwater...

Then again, the Nautolan had fixed a prosthetic earlier, and that work wasn't the worst. She guessed. And it's not like she'd ever been on a boat before or anything. Then again, what reason would anyone have for doing such a thing? No land beneath your feet but still tied to two dimensions of piloting...

Juri considered for a moment. Something about the encounter, the woman, seemed to send ripples through the Force. "There is always help to be needed. I could use your assistance in the clinic. I have two rules, we aid any who walk through our doors, regardless if they can pay or not. And my second, and most important. We do not ask questions about why they have come to us. That is as much for their privacy as it is our protection."

She seemed exceedingly serious, and the way with which she spoke commanded attention and a strong will.

Then a soft smile. "But your help will be most graciously appreciated."

She fishes around in her pockets and pulls out a pamphlet

“Float’s Boats, best repair in Jaklu. You ever need work done let me know. It’s a Nice town, real quiet.”

She appears blissful unaware of being overheard.

“No questions, I understand,” she said confidently.

“I can do clerical work or organize things and clean up the blood and well… anything besides actually the medical things, she said with a frown. The Force flowed through the chamber and to her perception of the room was alive with the Force as it touched all things especially the living but there was a singularity that she would have missed if not for her senses being heightened after spotting the specter.

It was only a moment, she could see the event horizon of the Force enveloping this young woman who was not much taller than Juri, that point beyond this horizon of the Force there was no escape… but perhaps it was just her senses playing tricks on her because she seemed normal now.

Nothing special.

As each of the fingernails were cleared out and the green of his skin became fully visible, Rannek picked up bits and pieces of the conversations taking place around him.

Quiet place... Jaklu... maybe a good place to look.

No questions asked doctoring... Not bad... if not kinda creepy.

Curious. "That will be more than fine. You and your grandmother should be able to survive off what I can pay. It isn't much, but can get by." She continued, as she just felt that... nothingness.

Just nothing. A blank spot that could only be felt in the presence of everything else.

Maybe it was best if she kept her eye on the woman.

What would Soltzai advise? What would Mother Talzin say?

Toward the back, a figure sat quietly, listening to the conversations around them. People looking for a better life. Some with ambitions in mind, some simply desperate and looking for anything better than what they had. Some she could probably pick things up from. For now, it seemed better to listen. The full face helmet hid their interest, for now at least, only showing in a small tilt in the direction of the rest of the passengers.

Another armored traveler scanned the room and made sure to note the obvious Mandalorian but made no move to do anything else. He was well armed and seemed content to just observe, unless someone wanted to make a big deal about his presence.

She nodded proudly and then told her children to thank the Nautolan in Huttese, they shyly followed her request.

"It' ain't too bad. Nobody dead yet." He looked around the room.

"At least as far as I can see." He smirked a tiny bit.

He put his toothpick away into the handle of his blaster rifle.

The Mandalorian nodded, just a slight inclination of the helmet. It wasn't so much an invitation or making a big deal as simply letting the other armored traveler know they had noticed the attention.

With that, they returned to splitting their attention between a datapad and the surrounding conversations.
