Out and About When Suddenly... [Day 4, MA]

Coming fresh from the Golden Markets, Jenna hadn't really known where her next stop was going to be. There was a lot she could do, a lot she could prepare for, life had settled again after the excitement of recent days and she was found needing to remind herself to stay sharp. However, life had a different idea and when the earthquake hit she was near in the center of a city street.

With a disturbance in the flow of traffic it was near impossible to keep everyone on their feet... Jenna was one of the unlucky few.

She was not the only one but thankfully aid came quickly as neighbors tried to help dig them out.

Pushing off some of the debris herself she was at least.. not totally covered, when help finally came. Though she'd yet still found herself left with some thinking and coughing time as the dust from such an event made it difficult, and annoying, often to breath though not impossible. Dodging on a busy mind seemed to have been out of the question but she took the first offered hand and used it to pull herself back up onto her feet.

Dove had been out to pick up some clothes for the new house-guest... when suddenly EARTHQUAKE!

She was usually quick on her feet, but it caught her unawares, and she ended up bumped and bruised from the event.

"Kriff! Ow..."

Imperial soldiers were pulling them out of the debris and one said, "Are you hurt ma'am?"

"Ugh... I've been better, but I'm ok," she groaned. "Thanks..."

"Kriff. Was that an earthquake?"

It wasn't.. expected, certainly. Soldiers meant the law, and usually the brand of law she much preferred to avoid, but they were helping and that.. she didn't shy away from an extended hand. Once on her feet she patted the soldiers shoulder, "Thanks," then took a look around at the others.

"Been here a few years, don't remember Rygor getting many quakes like that?" she commented, quite aloud. Glancing over toward Dove, who was always more a friend of her brothers but she knew well enough to pass a concerned look. Dust yet clung to her clothes in the mess of it all.

Dove felt like a piece of doughnut that had been thoroughly dusted with... dust. She coughed as she brushed the dust and debris off her arms.

"You alright there, Jenna?" she looked over the younger woman. "I don't think I've ever experienced a quake here..."

"Bruised, bumped, whole," she replied in three concise statements, patting herself down to make sure she didn't feel anything wet, thinking of the tried and true methods of discovering blood should there be any to discover leaking out.

"You, Dove? Everything in one piece I hope?" she managed the smile, though it didn't last long as she twisted and one of those previously mentioned bruises acted up rather unfortunately.

She flinched a little as she saw Jenna's smile falter. "I... think I'm good. I can't feel anything out of place. But I have a feeling I'm going to be blue and yellow in the morning." A hand touched the back of her head, and she flinched again. Yep. That's gonna hurt in the morning.

"In one piece, it seems. Ugh... damn, my shopping." There was a heavy sigh as she looked at the debris that had buried her shopping bags.

"Hopefully that's the worst of your losses," she said with a grimace, "apartment buildings seen better days. I.. think my brother was out.." she moved to grab her communicator, "I'm just hoping our home is still standing there when we get back."
