Brand New Baby (D4, LM, Spaceport)

[Dove Gray]

The call had gone out to meet up at the ship now that it was all fixed up and ready. A kind of celebration of sorts, and also keeping up with eachother.

Dove came along with Mia. "So, got a name for our new baby, sweetie?"

[Ru'ni Wayne]

Ru'ni had no real experience with offworld capable ships, he had never left Bankor in his life. But his friends in the resistance needed some help, so of course he offered, and came to see exactly what his help had resulted in.

Running his hand along the outside, he felt the coldness of the vessel and shrugged. He didn't see the appeal, but Mia had told him it might be able to help take some of the Exiles to safer climes. So he just went along with it.

"Do all ships have names, then?"

"Oh, right, a name. I thought we settled on the Wily Coyote. Resourceful creatures," Mia murmured, remembering the little guys back on her home planet. They kept wanting to murder the flock of birds.

[Dove Gray]

"Ah right. That's a clever name," Dove said approvingly.

Spotting Ru'ni studying the ship, she smiled at the sight of the native's experience with a ship this up-close. "Many do, yeah. For most spacers, a ship is like a home, and a friend."

"Coyote is good predator, swift, cunning. Belongs to a pack, like all of us." Ru'ni nods appreciatively.

"I like it."

[Fathynyu Kurrek]

Floats sticks her head out of the hatch on the ship’s bottom. A roadrunner stencil in one hand and covered in grease.

“Can I still put this’un up in my room?”

Walking in from the cockpit Astin glanced at floats"Well it is your room, you can put up what you like." He paused a moment thoughtfully. "Well, within reason."

"I figured you go with boat posters though."

Dove laughed. It was good to see a kid like Floats get to be a kid. It was something she felt was missing with all these Jedi-kids. "Yeah, as Astin said, it's your room so you can decorate it how you like. Within reason. Same goes for you too, Ru'ni."

She gave the Aznuri a smile. "Excited about flying into space?"

"I...I am unsure." He admitted as he looked over the ship with a completely unqualified eye.

"I don't know if my place is up there with so much nothing underneath me. I have people, responsibilities, a wo...things here I can't easily give up."

[Astin Denive]

"Well, technically you have just as much nothing underneath you right now. There is just a planet between you and it." Astin said, looking over at Ru'ni.

"I suppose I can understand your hesitation though, at least a little. It's hard to think of giving up all the things you're attached to." He smiled. "It's not like we are leaving anytime soon either. If at all."

“Well of course I got boat posters. Got that sleek lined cruiser hanging over my bed... mmmh. Now that’s a fine vessel. But the roadrunner is sentimental, and I’d feel bad if a cayoye ate it.”

“It ain’t got anything inappropriate. At least not in public. What you got hanging in your anyhow?”

Mia looked at the ship and then rubbed her chin. "So... do we put the name on the ship? How do people ever just recognize it's their ship?"

"You can put the name on it, maybe put a icon above it as well." Sadly coyotes didnt come in a sexy variety.

The mention of inappropriate seemed to remind him on something and he slipped his fist against his palm. "That reminds me. What's the opinion on public nudity? I like to earlier dry after I get out of the refresher, but I figure a few of you might not be ok with that."

"My culture has no taboos about such things. The climate of Bankor lends itself to sparse clothing choices anyway."

Then realizing that he and Astin appeared to be alone in a crew full of women, he blushed slightly.

"Although my opinion may not have been the one you were seeking."

[Dove Gray]

"I vote yes on putting a name, or a picture, on the ship," Dove chirped in. "And I am fine with nudity."

Looking to Floats, she gave a cheeky grin as she nudged Mia. "Maybe I'll hang up some chains and whips..."

"Aren't there more humane ways to get information out of prisoners than whipping?" Mia asked, missing the point entirely.

Dove chuckled and put a hand on Mia's shoulder. "Aw shucks, you're no fun..."

"And do we need chains," Ru'ni added, booking his seat on the train to oblivious town.

"Doesn't this thing have seatbelts?"

“Wait. Y’all wanna walk around naked? I don’t mean to be a prude.... but y’all wanna walk around naked?!?!!”

Mia blinked. "Wait, are you serious about the nudity, Astin? I figured you were just being perverted."

She then eyed Dove. "I thought we were better than the Empire, or something like that."

Dove covered her mouth as she began to laugh more. She was practically shaking with suppressed laughter.

These people were gonna be the death of her somehow. Death by laughter.

Dove chuckled and put a hand on Mia's shoulder. "Aw shucks, you're no fun..."

"I for one support the addition of whips and chains to Dove's room." Astin offered raising his hand. "As long as they come complete with tight leather pants and maybe nipple piercings."

“Wait. Y’all wanna walk around naked? I don’t mean to be a prude.... but y’all wanna walk around naked?!?!!”

"Not all the time." Astin replied with a shrug. "Just when I'm fresh out of the refresher. Plus what's wrong with being naked?"

“You’ll be hanging out everywhere! For a start it ain’t sanitary. What’ll people think when they see our wet naked bodies carrying around whips and chains?”

[Astin Denive]

"That we had a really good time?" Astin replied before bursting into laughter. There was no stopping it at this point.

His laughs eventually came to an end and he offered floats a playful wink. "Still glad to hear you were willing to join in~."

[Dove Gray]

"You guys..." Dove heaved for air as she tried to recover from her laughter. "... Alright, alright. No nudity, I guess then. And yes... we are better than the Empire."

She nodded seriously. "Much better than them. I only uses my whips and chains for the forces of good."
