Ela sat as well, cross legged on an old beat up speeder hood, hands behind her, "I cannot say I am an expert or anything. I never even went to the home system before I left, growing up on a backwater planet even less metropolitan than Bankor here. ...do you know much about your own species home and customs? I would also find that interesting."

Dak Raised an eyebrow "interesting I never would have guessed that you were raised on a backwater planet. you seem very handy with starships it must have been hard to learn your trade on a world like that"

"As for me I was raised on cathar for most of my formative years my family didn't leave for coruscant Until I was around 8 years old I remember much of what my mother taught me about our heritage she was the much more traditional of the to my father was less concerned with such things as he was a traveling merchant and was exposed to many different cultures."

[Elaranu]

She nodded in response, "So a mixed heritage of sorts, tradition against metropolitan. As it were. How long did you spend on the capital?"

[Jurdak Surt]

"The better part if my life" he replied "Lived there from 8 until I left to come to Bankor after the clone wars. I travelled a lot after I joined Republic Intelligence but Courscant was still my home. Theres not really much 'culture' to the capital city so it was pretty easy to hang on to the parts of my culture that I wanted or at least what spank in as important."

[Elaranu]

"I see. ...I will admit, I do not know much about Corocant. I have heard many things said, but there is no place like that in Chiss space. Even the homeworld is not very open to other species. And not all metropolitan. So it feels very exotic to think about."

[Jurdak Surt]

"Its a pretty interesting place, most of the species just mix around and things are kind of corporate. But there are different neighborhoods where different species or groups of species congregate. I certainly enjoyed growing up there, it gave me a chance to meet a lot of new people and types of beings."

[Elaranu]

"Mmm, mmm..."

She thought a moment, "...mix around, hm?"

Ela lingered on that a moment before continuing, "I wonder what kinds of new traditions that creates, especially artistically. Some things might be more difficult to blend, after all. Like culinary. I consider myself somewhat of an artist you know."

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak nodded "yeah you get a mix of cultures and stuff there are some fusion places that mix different species food." When she mentioned being an artist Dak chuckled and gave her a smile "Well Ms. Elaranu you seem to be a woman of many talents indeed."

[Elaranu]

"Of course. I am only ashamed that I do not possess more talents. My expectations for myself are... how do you say... sky high? Perhaps space high is a better statement, but that is not how the cookie bakes."

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak raised an eyebrow at the unusual turn of phrase but shrugged it off "Well hey nothing wrong with wanting to be the best at something or a few somethings by the sound of it." He said with a grin as he leaned forward. "You obviously take great care of yourself and your craft. An admirable quality.

[Elaranu]

A nod.

"So... you are here to be your best too, no? Gather parts to use in whatever nefarious things you do? Or were you just hoping to earn some credits?"

[Jurdak Surt]

He looked taken aback his mouth circled in a face of mock offense "nefarious things? I admit I have bent and broken the law before but I'm not some sinister villain with schemes. Well I suppose that depends on your point of view with the empire." He added after a thoughtful pause.

[Elaranu]

A smirk, "I said nefarious, not evil. A child taking sweets before a meal is nefarious; Are you saying you've done no worse than that?"

Ope Elaranu was dangerously close to discovering Daks secret lack of most vocabulary. The Cathar was not what people would call smart "Well, sure yeah but I think depending on who you are my action could be viewed as heroic or 'nefarious' I suppose." Helping break prisoners out of a prison camp and blowing the place up probably fell somewhere on that spectrum.

[Elaranu]

"Ah, I see. Well, I will not judge then; Perhaps some time I can hear the full story... and maybe even believe it. It is not like I can say I have not done naughty things myself, moreso than stealing sweets from the jar in the kitchen, and I understand not wanting to talk about them."

Dak grinned a bit "interesting word to use, naughty. Maybe one day you could tell me about all the 'naughty' things you've done." He said with a chuckle.

"But in all seriousness theres no need to apologize. I have done plenty of naughty things in my time. I'll be happy to tell you about them sometime, We can swap stories."

[Elaranu]

The emphasises were lost on Ela, frankly.

"I do not see why not. There are some stories I will not tell, but others I will. So sharing could be nice."
