"Not just a soldier, you're a person too," she commented, her voice lower as if she was almost unsure of saying the words, but she came back stronger with, "do you have a family? Someone to go home to?" she asked, looking back to him as they walked.

Her was noted but Dak didnt waver "So what if he refuses to back down we just shrug our shoulders and go home?" He fixed her with a gaze of ice to match her fire

"This is war Jenna. I have told you I will talk first but going up against the empire if we hesitate too long we all die. Is that what you want? You want people here to lay down their lives because theres a chance that someone on the other side might flip? I'm sorry but I cant take that chance. I will talk to him first I will tell the others to do the same but you cant expect us to back down because you like this guy."

I'm really enjoying this exchange because it really highlights the jaded old timers and the idealistic youth clashing without being overly simplistic. It's a good character scene for these two.

She rolled her head to the side to look at him. "Hello Petey." She laughed warmly and sighed. "That was fun. Which must be why the Temple does not encourage it."

She reached up and touched his face. "You know, I think I was expecting you to ask me what the princess in the story was called."

The happiest of battle droids.

Rain poured all over his cloak as the general observed an entrenched position held by a garrison of stormtroopers.

''The way I see it I do not think we will be able to proceed without taking that strongpoint.'' he muttered to the few around him, mostly his retinue of ten V-2 battle droids.

''Question'' the V-2 designed 'Ace', the unit's sergeant, began ''Could this...possibly...in a way...all things being equal...be considered a bunker?''

Bowze looked at him not sure what to reply but the rest of the droids seemed vibrate in anticipation of the answer

''Yes?'' Bowze ventured as the droids were now positively quaking

''And we are going to assault it?'' Ace asked with a squeak in his vocal transmission

''Yes, manoeuvre A:F-04 will be used here'' the nemoidan replied, not sure if he should have brought untested Battle Droids.

''ROGER ROGER!'' the unit cheered in unison as they charged the position, guns blazing

Subject: [Day 9 - LE] Battle for Bankor (Contribution Event)

Ria'la had comms duty. Not like he was anything close to a back-up fighter never mind a front line fighter. Today though even the comms were giving trouble. Whether it was faulty equipment, jamming or just the effects of the weather, things were proving very difficult to get through. It was beyond his slicing skills to put this right at present. Message needed to get to the Resistance troops to prevent being outmanoeuvred. He needed to be closer.

The armed troops supporting his mobile comms post did not agree. He tried to persuade them, but they had orders to stay put. He tried to convince them that those orders had some leeway . . . and almost got through but a turbolaser shot blasting up earth in front of them gave them backbone to resist. In total exasperation he threw his hands up and said . . .

"We have to get the messages through, we have to. We need to go closer I tell you. Closer!"

They still wavered and kept to their orders, as another crackle of comms came partially through.

"Damnit do I have to do to you what I did to Rayne to make you see sense?" He was ready to pull hair out.

The lead Resistance fighter stopped, stared open mouthed and then said. "Well yes, if you do that later then I'll take you wherever you damn like blondie."



He'd meant spend hours persuading them to rally to the cause. They thought he meant the other things he did with Rayne. He didn't care as it got the post moved closer to the fighting and interference cleared allowing messages through.

Subject: [Day 9 - EN] Tune to the Right Station (Contribution Event)

With Floats getting them easily...gracefully...successfully through the main security door it was onwards and inwards for Team Triumph. But why were two officers and two Stormtropers headed towards engineering? A couple of curious looks from technicians deserved a bit of good, old fashioned, honest trickery.

"You there! Technician. The one giving me the stink eye. What is your name? Jenkins you say? Very good. Now then Jenkins, can you explain to me why a Captain, a Lieutenant, and two Stormtroopers are being stymied when we are having to carefully inspect both the main and back up power generators for the station's defenses? No ma'am? Is it because I am blue? Is it? Because we could be attacked at any moment you dolt!"

She shook her head in feigned disbelief and stared at him until he muttered some sort of suggestion. "Yes Jenkins. I do think you should take us directly to the emergency back up generator first. Then you can go back to your room and consider whether a career in the military is really for you."

A suitably chastened Jenkins led them to the emergency backup before going home to rethink his life choices.

There is always a Jenkins!

He better not be filling the fuel-lines with soap this time...

The entire Darkest Hour is gripping drama, but this one...

Master Hin could feel the darkness closing in on his students, they were facing one of the greatest evils the galaxy had produced… Darth Vader. They had sacrificed everything but the Force was not with them, they served a purpose as all things do.

He reached out through the Force, it was simple to find the pain and struggle and they heard his voice as all were attuned to the Force, “The Force is With you, you are the future of the Jedi… the galaxy. Stay strong and remember, no one is truly alone with allies at their side.”

He became one with the Force, his clothes falling to the ground.

There is no Death, there is the Force.
