GM Questions

Post by Verse Aura » Mon Jan 13, 2020 8:47 pm

Since I had a question, I thought I might as well get this thread started.
Jedi trained may benefit from the one time bonus of the Mentor bonus for a basic Force power reducing it by 5 to a minimum of 5.
Does this apply to force powers bought at character creation, or only during play?

Bought at Creation, you only get one use of it.

I'm assuming in reference to the Mandalorian great purge, no. That occurs sometime after Bo Katan received the Darksaber, and that is 1 BBY. We are 12BBY

I believe order 66 took place in 19 BBY and this is 4 years after that, we're probably in 15 BBY.

Certain events are heist events these have an additional rule, each player may once during the event after the roll is made may do the following; they can turn a failure into a success by explaining how they planned for this eventuality but by doing so they increase the difficulty of the next roll by 1 for the next player.
Will heist events have specific player rolling orders? Or random orders? Just thinking a situation where someone is midway through doing their rolls and someone has posted just before they finish doing this, meaning all previous rolls were suddenly obsolete.

It will probably be advised for players to do some planning before rolls but not required. If such happens just PM me and we can work it out.

Yes you can roll pocket money, but lets save any purchases with it for in play.

Is the 1d100 session pocket money on top of, or replacing, the 1d100 credits rolled at character creation (pg. 107 Force and Destiny CRB)?

It's the same, so if you rolled it already no need to do so again until session 2.

Regarding crafting and rarity caps - those will affect the ability to track down the items needed to craft ?(i.e. water of life has a rarity of 10. To be able to craft it, I'd either have to find a way to reduce the rarity of it to 7 minimum via talents, or make it a quest/plot point?)

Question regarding travel times and interactions with the Outdoorsman talent. The last part of the talent says "overland travel times are reduced by half."

Obviously this would apply on the planet itself only, but, does this mean I can essentially travel instantly between regions instead of taking the timeslot to travel?

If you have the Talent you can ignore the time slot penalty for yourself or a group you are with while traveling planetside.
