Jabber pulls out a cheap, flimsy laminated slip with the words "PASS" on it and a picture of himself.

He shrugs at the stormtroopers. "Hey, the new guy doesn't get to complain about the pass they give us, right?"

Jabber braces, unsure if this is going to work.

The storm trooper looks at it and then shows it to another trooper who said, “It’s an old badge but it checks out.”

Two of them get ready to to escort him.

Hey, look, Warrior's Heart saves the day!

Jenna had taken her time, approaching the beast slowly and letting her hand gently brush along it's neck. There was an episode, in one of those Warrior's Hearts vids, that she saw someone do something like this. It wasn't really her kinda show, but she'd caught it from the kitchen while Petrus was watching and the scene kinda stuck out to her. Then, following what she learned from watching Commander Poule, and then the Aznuri instruction, she felt confident in knowing what she was doing.

Once the beast accepted her, she would mount as a mixture perhaps of how she had been instructed by the Aznuri and witness Poule do it.

Comfortably on the beasts back she looked around at her compatriots, "Guess I'm getting a chance to ride one after all," she quipped, then softer to the creature, "Please, don't eat me."

Subject: [D5LA] Operation Anticyclone

Mother Yugba kept at range her loyal life long companion she lovingly named Crotch Eater, Crotchy is the more casual name, gliding through the conflict as he unleashed accurate arrow after accurate arrow. She grimaced as time had slowed her skill but still she had patience. Even when Tiralia directed fire her way and clipped the warrior elder.

She gripped her injury and then forced it away as she fired another set of arrows causing the traitorous Aznuri to flee for cover.

I don't often contribute to this thread because I don't have the time to read a lot of not-me threads and I feel some mild taboo to sharing ones from my threads, but I stumbled across this. Floats' and Sinnya's banter is very good!

"At least losing your head would be," Sinn swallowed, "well, faster."

Tumbling loose, the skull had rolled faceup, giving her a better look at its shape. "Looks like they were human, anyway. Or near-human," she said with a faintly hysterical smile as she straightened back up.

"Oh gosh, now I'm feeling guilt about all my past decapitations."

"Technical school had a real emphasis on self-defence."

I continue to be impressed with Qareme's Jedi-ness.

Qareme looked at Verse, then moved forward to stand near the woman.

"What is it you wish to achieve? For us to go against the traditions of your people, to have you spared for your crimes because you hold information? This is not the way someone should act, you do not respect your own peoples beliefs. We do."

She took a few steps back.

"The Force will find a way. We will respect the traditions of your people" there was a nod to the elders before she walked away, motioning for Verse to join her.

"Making soup is an honorable Jedi profession, Xanna," he responded.

"Whatever you feel you owe." She spoke softly, finishing up the tending of the wound. "Jabber. Interesting times call for all beings to face a life that they may not have imagined, or even different than what they expected." She smiled at him, her slender fingers coming down around his hood, caressing it as if she were stroking his cheek.

"I think there will be stories and myths told about this time in the Galaxy. And there will be lore about the legendary gunslinger who came to town and righted wrongs, when they thought they were in it for themselves."

Leaning forwards, she gently placed a kiss atop his hood.

"And you'll even find a great romance, if you keep up this derring do. Trust yourself, and your friends."

This really touched me

Jabber moves down the hall to start cleaning up the mess when he realizes that the guard guy might be clued in in Jenna.

Jabber took a moment, then started a running jump, landing in a bucket and beginning a prat-fall out of an old Holo-vid comedy.


"EEEK." *bang* "OOOK *crash* "ARRGH" *wilhelm scream*

Jabber hopes that his distraction is distracting enough.

As it turns out, it might be too distracting.

This part made me literally laugh out loud

Vaya massaged her temples. "All of these ideas are terrible." She sighed. "But we've got no time, and some credits, and the Disciple likes those, probably. Let's go to this chop shop and try to make a deal.

"We can't let anyone have this, though," she gestured with her datapad, the chip still inserted. "You saw what Czerka was doing with this stuff. Better to formulate a cure, save the data on that, and fry this with a blaster."

She looked at Juri. "What do you think? Can you work under those conditions?"

"In front of outsiders," she clarified. "And the answer to sex with them is either helmet on or blindfolds are involved. Which some people are into."

"GOHO" -- shorthand for ancient Mandalorian saying "Genitals Out, Helmet On"

Dove straightened her back, adopting an expression as close to Vaya as she could manage... for a brief moment. "Ok..." Then it was back to a more relaxed Dove-expression.

"I guess I can start with what you can do without going... too far, which is also a good warmup if you wanna go all the way..." What Dove had to share probably violated some Parental Unit's Guidance-Rating, so it couldn't be expressed into explicit dialogue, but Petrus got to learn a few things he didn't know. And some things that were useful to know. And some things he did not expect to ever hear about. And by the Maker, how did she know all this?!

It was a good educational moment for a young man.

"But most importantly - have fun." Dove figured she didn't need to tell Petrus to not inappropriately touch another sentient against their will. "You're a good guy, Petrus. I trust you to be sensible about this. As sensible as two young folks in love can be."

This is reminding me of doing something really similar during Kyuden Agasha and it's hilarious.

It was pretty quiet in the base with a bunch of people captured and alot of others on crazy missions. A fact that would make most folk worry, luckily perhaps Astin wasn't much of a worrier.

Sitting back in a chair he sipped at his beer while he played some old game he found on one of the computers he had got running. Some sort of wookie rpg? Not really his thing but it was something to do.

Liua was busy helping move supplies from another transport, but there was a lull so she sat on a metal box and lit a cig and looked around watching the other people. She closed her eyes and sang a song to herself to pass the time, it had been fun to talk to Xanna about her past… she still didn’t get the big deal about being rich though it sounded amazing but whatever.

If she had to choose she would choose rich every time, it sucked having to go hungry.

Then she heard the worst name ever, Drascovina.

She looked at this strange woman, she looked posh and hopped off the box and said, “Come again? Don’t know a Drascovina, sleemo, it’s a dumb name.”

You tell her, Liua!

The Force wants none of that drama, best I can say is roll a Force die.

I don't know why this makes me laugh but it does. I just envision the force being at its friend's house, and listening to an argument like 'naw man, I was just told there would be beer.'

Come for the physical comedy, stay for the clever pseudonym

She did the thing sometimes seen in cartoon-holos where the characters drift around a corner while running, as if the street was made of ice...

...only to be face to face with none other than the high inquisitor. To say it was unexpected was an understatement. It certainly wasn't very welcome either.

"Uhwhaa?" uncertain of how to respond to having her world flipped upside down, she decided to go with the first thing that came to mind.

"Uhh, I think you have me confused with someone else. My name... uh, is... Axy Halo?"

"I get it," she said, smiling, "you want to be part of the secret club. Does Darth Vader know you're trying to defect? I hear you inquisitors are all really scared of him, the way you want us to be scared of you. I had a friend who was scared of one of you, you know what she did? She offered to meditate with the inquisitor, to show her she none of us have to be afraid."

Well, if it worked for Qareme, maybe it could work for Verse as well!

"How about it," she said after a moment, "how about we try it? Meditating together?"

This entire thread became my favorite of the game but this post took it to a special place

"Well I'll be a Jawa's momma," Dove remarked with surprise at their luck. It hadn't been quite what they had been looking for, but it had made the trip worthwhile regardless.

"I don't know. It happened so gradually that I didn't... we didn't see it until it happened." She leaned into the combing, her shoulders rolling back. "I knew Daunt had others, and all I asked was to not have it flaunted before me. I knew you were, and I was more than okay with that, to have you with us." She quietly continued, letting a hand rest on the other woman's armored thigh.

"But that other woman. Lyla. When she approached him while we were working on the base, and it was just so... raw and blatant. I couldn't blame her, it was obvious she didn't know. I had to take a step back. And then these past few weeks..." Juri sighed, closing her eyes.

"We spoke this morning. He said some things of what he might have to do. I told him that one option would shut me away from him forever. The other, I would at least always be there for him, even if it wasn't as it was." Another exhale, then a moment.

"But I couldn't be what we were anymore. It was clear we grew distant, and we are moving on two separate paths. And how I wish we weren't. I love him still, and I always will. I... I didn't want our paths to diverge."

Juri's heartbreak is really sad. She's such a great character and I feel so bad for her. She deserves better.

There were lots of good moments in the RP before the combat, I mostly picked this one because it's towards the end, but read the whole thing!

"I did it, it was me, I have never denied that, so do not take that from me, Ru'ni," she said calmly.

Ru'ni looks the woman up and down, she could have easily struck him down when they first saw each other today. He had no doubts of that, so he decided that perhaps there was something to her contrition.

She did not make excuses, she did not beg for mercy...

"Then you will return for the judgment of the people willingly and with no tricks. This is OUR loss more not just MINE and they deserve a say in this matter."
